Just to get opinions....didn't the Map of Otherville have the Sonic fence surronding it?  Completely surrounding it?  How did Everyone get to the dock/water/submarine?  I would have thought that they would have shown us a tunnel or something if they had to go under the fence! Right?

I didn't say he was a 'manifestation'.  He's real.  Like the polar bears are real.  I'm saying that the island, through whatever means, can provide what it is that person needs to get over their shit...

no, i just think its a coincidence. Maybe he was on the plane too. And they just never showed him. maybe dharma knows its what locke needs to get over his shit so they provided him with cooper. Im basically saying its neither magical nor smokey.

Grin  Did that Riggs character put you in a mood?  Thanks for sticking up for us, friendly.  Riggs thinks highly of himself, yes?

And yea, you're probably right.  Ben's a liar and a manipulator and he'll say whatever is neccessary to get what he wants and to accomplish whatever his sick mind thinks he has to do.

I gave it an eight.  It was a good episode - I enjoyed the Otherville scenes.  The stuff w/ Kate definitely backs up the theory that somebody did something bad to her between breakfast and lockup.  Poor Kate.  The Locke stuff was very interesting.  His dad (has it been 100% confirmed that he's John's biological father??) is such a dick.  I hope that Locke gets to take out some revenge on him.  Maybe he'll get to supervise a reconditioning of Anthony to make him repentant.  I can't wait to find out what the heck he's doing on the island, what the magic box is, and you know...Kate and Jack and Sayid and Locke.

Locke is such an ass for blowing up their submarine.  Totally self-serving, narcissistic and entitled.  I don't think he's a good person.  I don't think he deserves whatever the island is giving him.

I love Lost.  yes

Yes, I love it as well. about what happened to her between breakfast and Lockup -- she was pressured to force herself on Sawyer.  And Locke is a selfish prick, regardless or what the island can do for him.  And I am a selfish prick for thinking matbe the Lost gods would allow Jack to get away on the sub for my lostbliss!

I gave this episode a 10. I thought it was famazing! We got some questioned answered. We got sayid informing Alex about her mom, Danielle seeing her daughter. Locke meeting his dad. Knowing that The others are partnered with Mittles. (But are they partnered with DI?) Jack and Kate rekindiling their romance, (i dont know about you but Jack telling Kate, "Ill be back for you" was such a pimp line.) learning how Locke lost his legs, (fallng from a building WOW!) and... the submarine blowing up.. wow... its like an orgasm for the eyes.

I gave it a ten as well. At no point did I start to drift off like I do with some eps. I was gripped by this one.

I agree that it rocked.  Everything we learned along the way was just as valuable as the shocker at the end.  I mean c'mon....who really thought they would progress the Jack story that quickly?  I thought he'd be playin football at least two more weeks.  LOL.  Nope, they closed the loop on that and moved the story right along.  They also allowed Danielle to see Alex AND Sayid mentioned to Alex that her mom's alive.  Man, so many things in this epi were valuable.  We also saw RICHARD.  I mean...I didn't think we'd see HIM again that soon!  Ok, ok...I'll settle down.  I guess you can tell by all the exclamation points that I am REALLY excited right now.   yes

Heh heh... "HIM" Huh   Wink

i gave it a 5.  i felt like the episode kinda just dragged and told us a lot without really telling us anything.  i guess I was expecting a bit more of the islands secrets from Ben other than, "see, there's this nifty box."

Howdy folks,

Longtime lurker first time poster.

I have to say that without a doubt John Locke is my favorite character on this show. 10 all around.

I voted 9 even tho' I fell asleep laying in bed watchin it. All I can remember was that Locke was trying to get some kind of disability insurance, and some stuff happened with Jack in the Otherville, then I woke up and Locke was half way through a glass window.

I wish I could replicate the expression on my face as to waking up and Locke falls out a 8th story window and lands on his back. The only words I could think of was What the Hell was that?!!

then I nodded off again and got woke up by the submarine exploding.

Even thou I slept through what could have been a good 15 -20 mins of the show, I dont think I missed too much and I was still pretty good. This episode and the preview are making me most curious about the Losties. It seems what structure we had as a community on an island is coming apart at the seams. Chaos is just episodes away it seems.

Gave it an 8.

Could've been 9 or 10 if the writers had shortened the length of Kate's "I-can't-believe-my-freakin'-eyes" attitude.

Plus, I'm a hard grader.  It was a great ep, other than Kate.
