That's what I orginally thought when I saw the man falling.   yes
Was the meeting with Hurley and lawyer in Tallahassee?  I have a hard time following the location of flashbacks (obliviously) Undecided

No one has mentioned seeing any other Lostie or Other in the flashbacks.  I thought maybe if we see Juliette or the Lawyer in the background somewhere, then a connection could be made about where they were.  Where was the flashback, did Locke live in tallahassee?

Mr. F.  haven't we discussed this before.?.. sorry...Hurley was in Cali when this happened and when his business burned up, which is what the attorney told him,. Locke was already on the wheelchair when he worked in the factory and the factory was already burned up when the man fell out the window in Cali. At least I thought that is what we discussed.  I also thought A Cooper was in Talahassee....You may be right, but am thinking maybe not.

Well that is the brand of scotch that Widmore thought was too good for hot sexy Desmond.  So...it could mean that they drink together?  Or that they are both snotty old men?

If anything they are just snotty old men. I don't think there is any connection between the two based on the fact that they both drink expensive scotch.  Hell, with this show who knows, but I doubt there is a distillery (sp?) opened out there that just supplies evil men connected in some way. widmore could be on the island too, a long shot but they never make connections on lost for no reason.

also this would make more sense for penny to be looking for the island. as how would she know desmond was on there.

Or, Widmore Industries and the Hanso Foundation (the backers of Dharmas) could be competing companies, and Penny (now in charge of Widmore because her father died from drinking too much MacCutcheons Tongue) is looking to get the drop on her competitor and steal all their bad ass research.

i just went back and reread the transcripts  till i found the exact moment whenHUrley was in his accountant's office and the body went falling past the window. the accountant has just finished telling Hurley that he's the majority owner in a box company in Tustin when the bodygoes falling past the window.

if that body was Locke, getting pushed out the 8th floor window  and his back broken by AC, then Hurley owned the box company before Locke was in the wheelchair.  We don't know from any other clues if Locke worked there before his back got broken, or if he found his job there after he was stuck in the chair.
It was not the box company that burned down; it was a sneaker factory in toronto that they overinsured.

I too, am all confounded as to where that office building or luxury suite or whatever it was, was supposed to be. you'd think it was on the west coast, because Hurley and Locke were based in southern cali.

but AC is conning the rich widow in talahassee, or so i thought, based on the flower shop and the kid-- and later the cops who came to interview Locke at his little room.

maybe i am confusing the two locales because they refer to AC as 'the man from talahassee' when ben sends for him. maybe the whole action took place in southern cali--hurley, his accountant, locke, the kid, his mother, AC,the flower shop, the fall, all of it.

can we rewatch that again? and nail down geographically where AC and Locke were, when Locke made that confrontation to AC to break it off and leave the woman alone?
i can't see why locke would go all the way to florida, unless he took a plane flight using the money AC left him at the airport motel when helen left john. Ac said he was never coming back, but maybe locke went looking for his father once more, after the widow's kid found locke and begged him to intervene before his mom fell for the scheme.

well this can be put to rest....

While the window pattern is similar, Locke fell the entire distance with his feet facing the building.  The jumper in 'Numbers' was lengthwise.  Also, Locke was paralyzed for four years, long before Hurley even won the lottery.  Mystery solved!

Hurley couldn't have won the lottery before 2003 because his new Hummer didn't start production until 2003...
