Maybe they are going to the center of the map (The Crater? Sounds familiar) to do evil experiments...

I do like the idea that the lack of a submarine has initiated a change of plans and necessitated leaving Otherville.

On the other hand, it seems weird, to say the least, that a fertility doctor isn't good enough for them but the dude who blew up the sub in the first place is just swell.

WTF?Huh excl? excl excl

Locke is only with them because Ben wants him there.  Because Ben wants to exploit Locke's relationship with the island (imo)  What i can't help but feel giddy about is that, if they didnt go to another small island, Smokey would get to hurt them because they no longer have the protection of the Sonic Fences Cheesy Yaaaay.

Maybe this should go in a theories thread, but I'll start it here and see where it ends up. What if the others went back to the faux camp by the four toed foot? IMHO the hatch there was not just a door in front of the rocks but some type of magnetic cloak blocking the entrance. Wasn't the symbol on the a "BOX" the black box. Also in "the man from talahassee" when Jack was playing the organ, the lamp to his right was in the shape of the box symbol thing on the Dharma logo on that particular hatch door in the fake camp. Also, Syid open the doors but never went in or put his hands on the rocks. Keep in mind too the rock formation had a "Box" shape hole in it as well.HuhHuh??

I am sorry but I have to point this out:

Quote
Other two: "Good. Over and out."

Being a cadet in the RAF, I have studied Radio and Coms, and that annoys the hell out of me when people say, or think people say that.
In Phonetical terms, or radio terms, that statement means "Good. I understand I dont understand."

Over, directly translates to: Ok, or affirmative.
Out, directly translates to: repeat or negative.

Nothing to essential, its just something that bugs me Tongue

Anyway, I posted in another thread saying this but i think the Others are staying somewhere close by and are using Juliet as a mole.

Does it bug you as much as people who mistakenly use the wrong version of the word "too?" Wink Tongue

I think you are wrong.  At least up until 10-15 years ago, these definitions applied:
roger = I understand
wilco = I understand and will comply
over = I'm done with this part of the transmission, your turn to talk
out = We're both done with this transmission

Thus, the smirk from military and ex-military folk when they would see a TV show where the guy on the radio would say "roger, wilco, over and out" when "wilco out" would suffice.

Anyhow, the example of radio communications by Mr. Friendly isn't out of line - the Others don't seem to follow strict military protocols, and screenplays are notoriously lacking in their depiction of proper radio procedures.

I agree, that it's nothing essential, but you came across a little smug in your incorrectness.

Well, I'm sorry "wkmen" but i wasnt aiming for the "smug" approach. If I were, I would have pursued it a little bit longer....

And again, I'm sorry, but I study under a Commissioned Office who specializes in Radio and Comms. Unless its different in the USA, then I'm sorry, but I was right.

But, to be honest, lets not argue about that. This is a Lost forum. Forget I said anything...

Back to the subject....

I think Locke blew up the only sub they had. I think the sub in the promo pics shows a flashback of Juliet comming to the island on the dock where the sub was docked.

And this is just my opinion but I think there is a pyramid on the island ( remember when Syid found one on the maps from Danniel?)  and that is the *box* they are taking Locke to.  Locke is * moving on with the others* and is going to be shown the higher powers of the island.

and locke didnt mean he was leaving the island, for, as far as we know there is no other way off the island, but leaving camp.

You raise a good point, friendly.  I think they are  going to where the kids and Cindy are;  I had assumed it was on a different island, but it doesn't neccessarily have to be ...

Maybe the kids have been in Othersville all the time, but we haven't seen them?

Maybe the others have another cozy village somewhere, and they've just packed and moved onto a new neighborhood

I had forgotten about this for a while, but what about the sailboat the hijacked from sun? What would they do with that if they left, that is if they had managed to get it near otherville after they had taken it back to the zoo type place where they held jack/kate/sawyer captive.

btw, I have not yet seen "left behind" so if none of that makes sense with what has happened in "left behind" just ignore the lot of it.
