Nevermind..

Jack - "I don't want to know. It doesn't matter, Kate, who we were - what we did before this, before the crash. It doesn't really -- 3 days ago we all died. We should all be able to start over."

I don't think so.

Alvar Hanso?

Maybe...if Hanso has about $230 million to visit Boeing and splurge on a 747 (assuming that Flight 815 is a plane the size of a 747, which IMHO is a pretty safe assumption for a Sydney-Los Angeles flight).  Maybe they got it used at a discount.  But the other Flight 815 would have to take off from somewhere, wouldn't it?  Not many airports can accomodate planes of that size.  Unless Hanso has its own secret international-size airport.  I think the more logical explanation is that a Hanso crew reported that it "found" Oceanic 815 at the bottom of a trench . . . without going to the trouble or expense of sinking an actual airplane down there.

I think the assumption about Hanso is that he has the money to do anything necessary to the plot....

Then again, someone remind when Hanso was taken prisoner by Mittelwerk?  Maybe he wasn't around to stage the Bali discovery.

That´s exactly how I think!

If I´m not mistaken the plane was a Boeing 777 (as I remeber from the www.oceanic-air.com). This is the top of the line Boeing, costs 350,000,000 a piece and no one ever crashed since its debut, and every plane produced is still operating. So it would be impossible to buy 777 scraps or an used one (If we weren't talking about a TV show...).

Actually, one of our members Scottorsteve did that and posted it here before it made it out to the youtube world.  Check it out here:  http://www.dharmasecrets.com/forum/index.php/topic,10999.0.html

Ahhh, the TV show part. Grin  I am sure the way that they can cover an island so that is not found gives them enough pull to be able to stage a plane crash even with bodies.  Whomever these people are will do everything to make sure no one knows about the island.
