Is it just me or does this episode make even less sense than they normally do?

People jumping out of helicopters with parachutes.  I have never heard of anyone on a chopper carrying chutes let alone using them.  Particularly if its crashing.  Sounds the worst thing you could do.

Locke's father.  Now considering his predicament - lashed to a (what was that thing?) and with people lining up to kill him - he didn't seem very conciliatry.  In fact he seemed hell bent (pun intended) on provoking everyone.  Maybe it was his last big con.  Even when he was killed he didn't seem very heavy for Locke to carry.  I think it was a bag of straw.

The Others in awe of Locke.  That looked so much like a staged set-up.

Danielle in the Black Pig - oops that was Captain Pugwash - just popped in for some explosive.  As if she didn't know all about it and how unstable it was.

Jack and Juliette being so cagey.  Doesn't anyone want to share information and get the hell off the island.  Maybe not with three more seasons to pad out.

Do not believe a single word anyone says.  They are all trying to mislead you!
