I cried maybe like, one tear.  But I also wondered why the hell he didn't try to swim out through that hole that Mikhail blew...

My husband said the same thing.  But Charlie thought he HAD to DIE, so that he didn't change Des's picture of Claire and Aaron getting off the island.  But Charlie crossing himself and dying definately got to me. Cry

I think that Charlie understood that he had to die eventually, and he figured that this was the perfect time to do it.  Like I said on another thread: He had said goodbye to everybody, set his affairs straight (the "Greatest Hits" and the DS ring) and was ready to go out doing something, he believed, would resulting in the rescue of all his people.

I think the death scene was protrayed wonderfully, and I'm glad that Charlie's message doesn't die with him.  In the end, I believe, that will be his true act of heroism, not turning off the LG but alterting the Losties that Naomi's boat wasn't sent by Penny.

Did anyone besides me (and probably intrinsic) laugh when Charlie had to input the melody to "Good Vibrations?"  Like Towelie using the melody to "Funky Town?"  I miss weed.

I don't understand why he locked Desmond out.

Why not step out of the room, then seal the door?

I also thought the message on his hand was going to be
"Tell Claire I love her."

I was wondering that too but Charlie probably thought that if it didn't go exactly as the flashes went, then Claire wouldnt get on that helicopter.  Or maybe he was just ready to die, like he knew he was going to die all this time even while they were torturing him.  he was ready to accept it.
When he was writing on his hand, i thought he was writing the rest of his new song's lyrics.  because he told the Charlie Angels girls (Bonnie and Greta) that he was almost finished a new song.  But i think what he did was smart, warning Desmond.

I cried my eyes out, the music, the facial expressions, the drama. It wept and wept and wept. Charlie has never ever been my favourite character but ever since his last episode, and Locke was gone, he took the roll. He was great and will be soley missed by me. Rest In Peace Charlie Pace.

I wish i could say i cried, but i didnt.  I didnt even feel remorse.  Maybe it was because i wasnt getting drawn into it because my idiot brother kept distracting me so i didnt get.. sucked into it.  god i hate my brother, of everything he has to ruin he ruins the LOST finale ><.  I cried during Charlie's episode.  Oh well, im rewatching the episode with some friends this friday, maybe i will cry then.

He went out " saving the world "  Pushing the button..

That little toad grew on me.  I don't feel the least bit sorry for Clair because she just played him, there was never any nookie. She might boo hoo for 5 seconds but I wouldn't be surprised if she hooked up with Hurley before it's all said and done lol

Poor Charlie.

Cause maybe...  you're gonna be the one that saves me.... and after all... you're my wonderwall...

You.  All.  Everybody.

Don't forget- his first thought wasn't "get me out of here"...  It was "keep the water from flooding the station".  Bloody heroic, Charlie.  You all everybody.

lol that song was actually going through my mind while charlie was dying, that one and the song used for the Skyone promo.  (Wonderwall)
We were supposed to get into Charlie's head and hear his new song, i was thinking that was what was going to happen while he was dying but it didnt.  i was disappointed.  Also, apparantly, during the Flashforward, while Jack is in his car at the funeral home, Charlie's new song is on the radio.  Can anyone confirm this?
