Just to verify, I am almost positive that Ethan and Goodwin know each other. Not sure what episode it was, but when the "others" in the "barracks" were at Juliet's book club meeting and had the "earthquake" type thing....ie system failure from Desmond not getting back in time to enter the numbers and push the button, did Ben  not give orders to both Ethan and Goodwin to each go to the separate parts or the plane and make lists in three days? I would think if they were standing that close to each other than they knew each other. I myself may be LOST on this but I can swear i remember it from one of the episodes.
