In Season 5 episode 13 (?), Charlie says this to Jack:

"Trust him?  No offense mate, but if there was one person on this island I'd put my absolute faith in to save us all, it'd be John Locke."

I just started watching the first season all over again, going to knock out all of seasons 1-5 before 6 starts up.  I think it'll be cool.  Anyway, this is is one of the quotes that really stood out to me, after everything we've come to learn.  Wondering what you all thought.

You mean season 1?  Charlie is dead in season 5, no?  Either way, that may prove to have been a statement with ominous foreboding.  And - WELCOME to the site!

@Glyko: I started re-watching too and just finishes ep. 13 from season 1. Just before this line, Charlie says about Locke: "..and then he saved my life".
I've been wondering what he meant, the escape from the bore, the heroin addiction, or was there something else?
