There seems to be a new ARG starting up soon (thank god)
it seems to center around what is called the Lost University or LU for short.
You can sign up for updates. But signing up for classes starts on the 5th anniversary of the crash 22nd of september 2009.

actual classes start on the 8th of december. it seems interesting enough.

heres the link to the website:

As I suspected, and as far as I can tell, the classes are only accessible through the Blue ray discs.  I fucking hate corporate America. And I'm seriously re-thinking my participation in this TV show. I hate corporate America. At a time when people just need something fun to think about, and do, the fucking money-grubbers and filthy lucres are at it again.

Thanks, you guys. Part of that was me just needing to vent. It's not so much that I want to know what's on the discs, or whatever, I'm just so frustrated and tired of getting screwed by the big guys. Haven't they done enough to the economy of the world? (yes, I am lumping ALL corporate America together; finance included) Can't  fucking shareholders give a shit for anyone but themselves? If one more person says to me, 'the stock market is up, that means everything is going to be ok', I want to scream. They need to ease the fuck up on us. I know those nickels and dimes add up (yeah, I know, I try to save them), but wtf dudes? Aren't your yachts big enough or what?

And yeah, I want my Dharma Initiative kit, too...

I'm mad, too, 'cause my DVD player is on the fritz and I need to replace it.

just got my copy! I found some easter eggs but ill post those up tomorrow, as for the Lost University, Its basically, really, school. With different courses, Homework assignments, and tests. As of now, I've taken all the classes for the first semester, which thought me the the actual philosophers like Bentham, Hume, Locke, and Rosseau. Also, thought me some Korean based on popular lines from the show such as, live together die alone, you cant tell me what to do, whats in the box 4,8,15,16,23,42, and others, and then a lesson on Hieroglyphics. Physics talked about time travel, and jungle survival lesson.Besides the Korean language, everything contained a clip, although the Korean class did translate out loud, there was no video. After each class lesson, there is a homework assignment. Besides Jungle survival, each course has 2 classes and before being able to take the second class, your informed to wait two days. With the Jungle Survival class, once you view your HW assignment, (which they tell you to gather material) they tell you take take your exam which teaches you how to make a model Raft via Video with the materials you collected from your homework (9 straws cut to 7 inches, 5 toothpicks, and 3 twines of yard cut to 12 inches. pretty simple to do without the video demonstration. As for when semester 2 beigns, i believe its next month. Ill update the rest in 2 days when i can do the other lessons. The only class not accessible is the phisics class with Jeremy Davies. When i try to enroll it say the class is curently full and to try again next semester. Once you take a class your student mail is renewed giving you additional notes to study for the exams and other info.

Cool, thanks Mr Friendly. I'm not going to participate in this because I can't justify the monetary outlay at this time (as if I had any money to 'outlay'). I'm still unemployed (one year plus later), and my cash has to go for, you know, like, food and stuff. But please keep posting about it. I like to live vicariously if I can't actually live. thanks...

I figured i cant show you the videos and giving you my id is useless since you'd still need the BLu Rays, so the only thing i CAN do for you guys to share in on the experience a bit more is give you my account info for the lostuniversity.org. With this info you can go to the binder section and review the notes and the reading list, which are actual books you can pick up from a library and read.

So just P.M me if you want the info, and im entrusting you all not to change my password, again, thus locking me out of my own profile
