I've maintained for awhile that the whole thing is one big manipulation, toward the end of trying to create a utopian society or some similarly lofty aim.  It's not just the case that some renegade, apostate Dharma people decided to take to island-savage living and become "The Others."  Posing as "The Others" is part of their big picture.  Why would the Dharma Initiative manufacture their own brand of theatrical glue?

well, i notice the injection bottles all have BAR CODES on them. when did bar coding become all pervasive the world over? I'm 53, i was the deGroot's age in the 70's, and i can tell you, back in the day, we didn't have it then. it's real recent. not like, say, the furnishings in locke's hatch ( since he calls it 'my hatch'.)
did anybody get a good screen cap of the bottles desmond  was injecting himself with before the losties met him? can we compare those bottles with the ones they were injecting claire with?

Like vany said there's an interesting difference in the name of the medicines : RX-1 for Desmond's, RX-1 GND for Ethan's... seems like a new version of the vaccine, meaning they're currently working on it.

I don't know if you have noticed, but the Theatrical Glue has also the same reference on it, "RX1 GND". So I think this text is related to the place where it's used than the version number. IMHO

Major Karma for you, Doofy... great find. I googled it, and as far as I can tell, you are the first to hit on this. Anyone have any idea what the the numbers/letters might indicate or stand for, or why "RX-1" would be on a tube of glue?
