Locke certainly looks frustrated in the preview, though.

Well, when you see something for like a minute and try to recreate it you may get frustrated about what you may not remember and I doubt Locke will be telling others of what he saw yet so it is not like he can ask the other losties to help him bring the doors back down to aid him with his interpretation.  (Me thinks this because he did not even want to reveal he had found the hatch until he was forced to, I predict he will also try it on his own here before he is willing to admit he cannot do it by himself).

I don't know why they just don't do a little constructive surgery on the blast doors and get that single one to fall down. All they'd have to do is get in and mess with the pneumatic system (which is what it sounded like) that the doors operate on, and just let the thing fall. It is feasible to move through the Hatch without using that doorway, so it wouldn't be a huge loss to have the map available.

Then they'd just have to gut the walls and plug in those black lights.

they seem to be slipping into more individual battles right now.  maybe that will change since jack and kate go off on a camping trip next week.

Ahh, the question of all questions -- since the beginning of lost, man has been blessed with the powers of miscommunication, noncommunication and regard for el numero uno,-- curiosity?  not in lost world !!!--tipper is right, had normal curious individuals been on the island the matter would have likely been resolved -- we wouldn't have another 3 to 5 seasons to look to...

BTT, it shall be at least 2 episodes or 3 before locke spills... but I think he does since the producers said somewhere that by the end of this season we would know who wrote the map, I think.

I think locke is going to have a bit of a mind funk in this ep -

maybe the only way for him to see the map is to let the timer run out so he can get the blacklight on - an he doesnt want the timer to run out, but he does want to know what the map is...tough call, i'd say, feck the countdown, get the map done and start a tour of the island.

hmmm - it does seem from the new promo that locke wants that map - but is a bit uncomfortable letting the timer run down to zero - and the promo indicates henry is enjoying this - maybe?

sorry to tell you, but you are wrong about a few ideeas.
First thing I want to tell you is that timer you want lock let go to 0 it will not happen. Why? Because if you remember, and I guess Lock remember too, first goes down the blast door than the timer to 0. Maybe, and I say "Maybe" the counter geting to 0 activated the black light. That "Maybe" is because I cant trust a word of what "henry" tell us. Well, maybe the counter didn't get to 0 as henry told to Lock. The black light was activated befor the blast door opening (it could be a procedure like the female voice in the speaker befor the blast door activation).
Second fact: there was no doll when eko and jin were in the bushes. It was a teddy bear.
Third fact: they dont tell each other the secrets because they are only from 50 days toghether. I try to undesrtand this behavior from real life where people dont trust one in another until they become close enough. A good example in real life is a company (anykind) with 42 employees where is a boss (coordonator) who knows everything about what happen (with the employee) because he is paid to do that.

True, but if  your trapped on an island and theres another group of people trying to spy on you, I'm pretty sure people will be sharing secrets.  Especially if your life might be on the line.
