I am gonna give this episode a 7.5, it was pretty good, even though I had read spoilersan seen the pic of Libby prior to seeing the show, I thought it was pretty good, still not sure if Libby is an "other" yet or not, she could be but you never know,

I give an 8 it wasn't as exciting as the Lockdown episode but it did open the door for lots of exciting possibilities in my opinion!:)

First off, welcome to the forum dinglecat!

I give an 8 it wasn't as exciting as the Lockdown episode but it did open the door for lots of exciting possibilities in my opinion!:)

true, with the whole Libby in the nuthouse thing, and the fact that Hurley's a wacko Grin... plus all the little reference's here and there, and the things Mr Fake Henry Gale said, even though we already knew that Zeke was a nobody compared to "him".  Although, from the way Gale said it, it sounded more like Zeke was literally a nobody, just a worker ant!

I can't believe you guys!!  This epi totally rocked!  Classic 'Lost' in all it's glory!  (And, just to be clear about this, this is why I try not to read spoilers.  I knew Dave was imaginary and I wished I didn't know.  It would've made the whole exposition scene with Hurley and his doctor 'WOW'; instead it was kinda flat.)  The scene where Hurley beats the crap outta Sawyer, 'See you in another life, Hurley', 'Polar bears on roller blades with a mango',  Sawyer saying to Kate 'Don't you have an adventure to get to', I could go on and on.  Awesome writing, funny to the extreme; great characters with great lines.  There were so many references to the whirlwind surrounding 'Lost' that I couldn't keep track of 'em all.  And don't even get me started with the Henry Gale scenes.  All I can say is 'And what do we have here?'

(Maybe ya'll could watch it again?)  Grin
Thank you for your voice of sanity, I have now changed my vote, had the episode not been spoilt for me then it would score 10/10  Smiley

But it still lacked the prior Hurly epi humour Sad

Thanks!!  Grin  It's been a long time since someone called me sane!  Grin

I have to agree about the lack of Hurley humor but we've been conditioned to NOT laugh at crazy people, er, 'scuse me, uh, the unfortunately insane.  Otherwise it might not have been such a downer.  An imaginary friend who is the voice in Hurley's head who gets to express the anger and then gets to eat whatever he wants to make him feel better is just a bit sad, in my opinion.  When Dave screams at the basketball player, you can see the vein in the side of his neck looking like it's about to burst.  My sister, who is not as obsessed as I about this show, also thinks that Hurley manifested the food.  Something's making everybody see things that are sometimes real (the horse) and sometimes not (Dave); it could be the sickness, or one of the Dharma experiments was wildly successful, or whatever.  I do  think it's interesting that something that was  real was able to be seen by someone else (the horse and by Sawyer) and something that was not real was not able to be seen by someone else (Dave).

That bald dude was really pissing me off with all his "maaaan" and "duuuude" comments...

While it did seem a little extreme (and maybe it was just the way he said them), I took this as one of our prime clues that Dave existed only in Hurley's imagination. So I think it was very deliberate and necessary.

Found out stuff about Hurley we didn't know about.  Also might explain why Libby seems to be 'attracted' to him.

I agree with whoever said it was like a coma episode.

I ended up day dreaming at most points, thinking about Fight Club...

I'm giving it a 6, was left a little confused (so props to the writers), nothing amazing though.
