Let the games begin? Or, as with so much in Lost, must we do a flashback? You do not realize it yet, but if you are reading these words, on this forum, you are part of a randomly selected group. If you doubt this, check the other forums and see if you can find anything like this message.

Many of you now reading this new topic were there at the very beginning of this game, yet are not aware of it. Keep reading. You are about to become the very first group of online Lost fans to be contacted for the second time, and when all the dots are connected it will blow your mind as completely as that tiny little stick of dynamite did Leslies’. Perhaps even that statement is a clue, if you know who invented dynamite and his connection to great writing. So welcome to the first ‘Losties’ Cyberspace, an electronic island on an island in space called Earth. Are we alone? Or are there “others” out there?
Are we all here, because we are not all there?

Clue #1-The place to start is with the numbers. If you look carefully within them, you will find many useful Easter eggs in site on the numbers. And the new number for those on the cyber-island, as opposed to those who only watch on TV? 2701. This number is out there, in site, but only 1…….! (and perhaps not this 0ne) It has a direct connection to a book that appeared on the show, and is the product of two primes.

Clue #2-Who can you trust? Is this for real, or just a new user playing with our heads? Is ABC really behind the other contest we’ve read about here? Is it really just going to start on May 3, or did it start over 3 months ago? If I call the number on tomorrows episode, will my number go onto some kind of list sold to telemarketers? Will what a large company like ABC comes up with be something hot?

Clue #3- Sawyer: Think back to your first impressions of Sawyer. How many times did your opinion of him and other characters change with each new episode? So remember, the users that you seek for clues may not appear at all sympathetic, and you may have already “met” them. Flashbacks, anyone?

So what is real in the land of the lost? Is there only one group, or game, being played here? Or are there “others,” many underground? You have been given a huge head start if you are very clever. Was this forum chosen from the many because the Hanso Foundation believed users here would be the most likely to make good use of this head start, or the least likely? Better start making alliances, but..like the TV Losties must keep asking themselves; Who CAN you TRUST??

Please do not bother to send personal messages to this user name; no one will respond, like when Locke banged on the first hatch door. You have been given some dynamite clues, but YOU must figure out how to use them. Do remember Leslie, and be careful. For as you might imagine, some of your fellow players on the island may be part of a very different game, with another agenda. Your assignment, should you decide to accept, is to uncover the different players involved in this plot, and to connect the dots. There will be multiple misdirection’s along the way, but watch for more clues here to discover who’s on first, and what’s on second. –The Abbott of Z.

I think this is a bs post because the various press releases said that the story line to the game will parallel what is going on with the show, but will have nothing to do with the characters or events on the show.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Nobel

{Quote}Alfred Bernhard Nobel (help·info) (October 21, 1833, Stockholm, Sweden – December 10, 1896, Sanremo, Italy) was a Swedish chemist, engineer, pacifist, innovator, armaments manufacturer and the inventor of dynamite.

Nobel found that when nitroglycerin was incorporated in an absorbent inert substance like kieselguhr (diatomaceous earth) it became safer and more convenient to manipulate, and this mixture he patented in 1867 as dynamite.

The first three of these prizes are for eminence in physical science, in chemistry and in medical science or physiology; the fourth is for the most remarkable literary work "in an ideal direction" and the fifth is to be given to the person or society that renders the greatest service to the cause of international brother/sisterhood, in the suppression or reduction of standing armies, or in the establishment or furtherance of peace congresses.{UnQuote}

Maybe Alvar Hanso is looking at giving back to the world after "decades of keeping the world safe through the development of sophisticated weapons systems"

2699 (prime) + 2 (prime) = 2701

Rings a bell?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_prime_numbers

When he says "start with the numbers", does he mean the episode Numbers?
Check this:

"In the later episode "Numbers," Sawyer starts A Wrinkle in Time, a children's fantasy novel about a group of adolescents who rescue a lost father, which contains Christian undertones about a universal battle between darkness and light."

I don't want to do anything but this, in case I miss something.  It's only been a few hours, and this "game" is ruining my life.  I have finals next week, and there's no way I can concentrate.  Damn you/thank you ABC.

If you guys are part of the 'something big' ( Shocked ) then this has to be one of the most poorly executed ad campaigns in the history of TV.  (Doesn't surprise me for an American TV network.)  And don't sit there looking stupid.  You know who I'm talking to.
