Posting and You

Okay, one of the main problems that this and every other LOST Experience board has is the multitude of threads that are started by those who may not be as well informed as hard core ARG followers. To everyone who visits this board, we should keep this in mind:

Quote
Does it actualy require a New Topic ?

Would it make more sense if continued under an existing topic ?

Are you sure that it has not been spotted before and have you actualy read the other Topics to check ?

Have you Searched for it ?

Should you edit it in to one of your prior posts using the "Modify" button ?

Does it maintain "chain of evidence" ?  *

Read first, post later Smiley

*  "Chain of Evidence" = What is its direct connection to an existing find / TV advert / newspaper advert ect ?  Finding a murder victim in Outer Mongolia and a gun in China is useless unless it can be prooved that they are connected.

Unless a direct clue leads us to it, then its not "in game", and is probably a fan site !
And keep in mind that if someone does start a thread about a topic that is already being discussed in another thread, please remember to be considerate, and not chastise the poster. I know that for regulars to this board, it can be aggravating, but just try to remember that they are only trying to help. The best thing to do in the event of a double post is to just not say anything at all. Posting a comment in the thread will only continue to bump it to the top of the forum, whereas ignoring it will allow the thread to fall off the main page.
