maybe Tricia Tanaka is a "love-interest" for Hurley before the island, and she died during the deck collapse...that would help lose touch with reality even more...and would explain how he managed to cope with the loss of Libby so well...he'd already been through a tough loss...

Thats a good theorie, altough i dont like it becouse i want happy hurly back!
and im pretty sure its the flashback from the deck aswell

First & foremost the name of the episode is very intriguin. As for what it means... is anyone's guess?

I think it has to do something concernin the deck accident that Hurley caused. Is this junked car even on the island, I think not?

As for Danielle Rousseau being in this episode, I think its great that she is appearing in more episodes. She's a great actress. She will play an important role in this episode none the less.

I have absolutely no idea who Tricia Tanaka could be, but the title reminds me of the Bauhaus Song Bela Lugozi is dead Smiley (I was scratching my head for 15 mins trying to figure out why the "da-da da-da-da is dead" was so familiar).

Read somewhere that if you anagram the name, it reads Here Antarctica in portuguese Smiley on the other hand, if you're looking for connections, you'll find them, right or wrong, intented or un-intented Smiley

It is interesting how some of the regular new cast members have become "guest" stars.  Also Sung Hi Lee is a playboy model.

Antarctica huh? i dont think so but if it is then maybe tricia tanaka is refering to a place being dead, not so much dead but ceasing to exist or not where it used to be along those lines... nice too see how this plays out

Man, if only it was about the Asian reporter from Family Guy, that'd rule.

So, what was the name of the bird in the music shop where Hugo tried on the headphones?

Is that our girl?

Maybe Tricia Tanaka was a coworker or customer that hugo got to see regularly at mr cluck's, but she  got killed the day the meteor fell on the restaurant and smashed it.

this  is in keeping with my theories elsewhere on the board, that there was a whole slew of private wishes that our losties had muttered to themselves, prayed quietly that they wished would come true to them, which they told themselves or God, that, it if would only happen, their lives would  magically be all better again, the way they wanted them to be.
then Something [ fate? God? their own power of attraction and visualisation?] decided to grant them their wish and show them that the answer would take more than that.
"watch out for what you wish for, you just might get it"  and when you do, you're gonna find out it's not at all what you thought it would be. it's not the answer to all your problems, and it brings all new problems, and the answer to your troubles is something else entirely.

i can easily picture hurley muttering how he wished a metoer would fall outta the sky and clobber mr. cluck's. then it happens, and  i can then see hurley having a total breakdown, beleiving that he caused tricia tanaka's death, by wishing for that, and it coming true.
